Please save the date for this year’s World AIDS Day Mass at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, December 1, at the Basilica of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, 353 Peachtree Street NW, Atlanta, GA 30308. Auxiliary Bishop Bernard E. Shlesinger III will serve as the principal celebrant.
Each year on December 1, the Archdiocese of Atlanta celebrates a diocesan-wide World Aids Day Mass. This liturgy is an opportunity for people from all across our archdiocese to come together in community to remember and pray for those we have lost due to HIV/AIDS, those living with HIV/AIDS and their families, friends and caretakers. We also pray for people working to find a cure and just programs and systems associated with HIV/AIDS.
