July 25, 2018 marked the 50 year anniversary of the release of the prophetic encyclical Humanae Vitae by Blessed Pope Paul VI, which reaffirmed the Church’s teaching on the harm of contraception and the healing power of marital chastity.
St. Jude the Apostle Catholic Church will help our archdiocese celebrate the anniversary by hosting “The Splendor of Married Love: The Church Celebrates Humanae Vitae” on Tuesday, August 28, 2018 at 7:00 p.m.
Fr. Neil Dhabliwala, pastor of St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, will address how the splendor of married love is meant to reflect the splendor of God’s love.
Other presenters for the evening include a certified instructor of Natural Family Planning (NFP) and a witness couple. They will answer questions such as:
•What is NFP and how does it work?
•How is it different from contraception?
•How can we encourage our adult children in these areas?
•How does NFP affect a marriage and a couple’s relationship with God?
Wine, cheese, soda and desserts will be served. Please RSVP to www.judeatl.com/nfpnight by Monday, August 27, 2018.
