To: Pastors
From: Nancy Coveny, Executive Director, Catholic Foundation of North Georgia
We recognize that this is a very busy time for all of you with Lenten activities and preparations for Easter. If you are interested in applying for a grant with the Catholic Foundation this grant cycle, please know that you can forward this email to a staff member to complete, along with your signature.
Parish Enrichment Grants: The Catholic Foundation is committed to awarding ten grants of $1,000 each grant cycle (one per deanery). These grants help you as pastors to enhance your parish ministries. Some meaningful ways these can be used include youth and religious education programs, Hispanic outreach and community service programs, among others. The Foundation’s Pastors Advisory Council makes the award recommendations to our Board of Directors for approval.
General Grants: Catholic Community Grants provide assistance to non-profits, parishes, Catholic schools and other ministries. They are funded from various endowments established for the purpose of grant-giving, with many designated by donors for specific purposes. Grants vary in amount and are awarded each grant cycle. Grants will be awarded in late May, owing to the due diligence process conducted by the Catholic Foundation staff and grants committee before the Board provides approval.
The grant application deadline is March 31 at 5:00 p.m.
Please see the attached application forms. If you have any questions regarding the application process, please contact Sharon Adams or Nancy Coveny or email grants@cfnga.org. We are happy to help you navigate the process.
