To: Priests and Deacons
From: Mr. Ashley Morris, Associate Director, Office of Intercultural and Ethnic Diversity
The Office of Intercultural and Ethnic Diversity is proud to lead the archdiocesan effort in joining with other members of the larger faith community in commemorating the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Our archdiocesan events will take place on January 14, 20-21, 2018. More details on these events can be found by visiting our website.
In particular, we extend a special invitation for you to join our Mass on Saturday, January 20, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at the Catholic Shrine of the Immaculate Conception Church by serving as concelebrants with Archbishop Gregory, your brother priests and deacons of the archdiocese. If you are able to participate in the service, please bring your alb and Kente Cloth (or white) stole to the Mass. We ask that you arrive to the Shrine no later than 12:00 noon. Parking will be available at the Underground Parking Deck located diagonally across the street from the church (bring your parking ticket with you to be validated inside the church).
With your continued attendance and support, the 2018 Martin Luther King, Jr. Celebration will again be a successful archdiocesan event that will remind us of God’s love and the blessings He gives to us to serve the common good more intentionally and more fervently. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact me via email at amorris@archatl.com.
God bless and thank you very much!
